The proposal consists of a pair of shelter houses designed as modular two-storey buildings. The buildings naturally complete the street frontage and respond to the scale of the surrounding development in a way that feels both appropriate and unobtrusive. Their volumes are articulated into several parts, connected by an open-access gallery and staircase, creating clear orientation and a legible circulation layout.

Materially, the buildings are designed in a restrained manner with respect to their context: rendered façades and metal roofs are complemented by a subtle graphic motif suggesting a modular grid. The steel structures of the access galleries are finished in durable hot-dip galvanization, emphasizing the technical character of the system while remaining visually unobtrusive. Climbing greenery is introduced into the courtyard, softening the expression of the façades, enhancing the spatial quality of the inner block, and contributing to a more pleasant microclimate.

The main idea of the project is to combine functionality and human-centred design with a sensitive respect for the local built context. The proposal creates a stable, safe, and dignified environment that fosters a sense of belonging and community life. The modular approach allows for flexibility and future adaptability, while the architectural and urban design harmoniously integrates the new buildings into the existing urban fabric.
